preyhound is a 22 year old dweeb from California named Sam. They are a musical storyteller, combining folk, flute, feelings, and found sounds to create a whimsical and adventurous palette. Sam is currently riding the high of their debut work, sand dollars in a silver pail, an acoustic concept album reflecting on their experience with queerness, childhood friendship, family, and all those other complicated things.

For Sam, songwriting is a vessel through which they can express their inner world. Their songs mirror their outlook on life, and their heartfelt lyrics explore our messy, beautiful, and flawed nature.
